I usually eat 1200-1900 calories and too little fat. But then i ate these chocolate balls that i am really addicted to, total they had 1754 calories! GAH, thats so much, but the most sicking part is that i have easily eaten 10(!!) of those in one sitting..that would be around 3000 calories and 118 grams of fat. Like honestly, they are sooo good but this is sick sick sick. Just felt i had to do some sharing of my deep secret.

Tell me, what is your absolut worst "binge" moment ever?

I'd say just as bad as the fat there is the lack of protein though..

For me I had to go a while back since I've been pretty strict for a long time now, but here's the worst I could find, from Nov '07..

It was all fast food pretty much.. loaded up on carbs and sodium and sugar and in the form of empty calories to boot.. probably had snacks that I hadn't recorded as well..

oh man thats a loooot of sodium..jees, i do not like salt though.

are you perhaps feeling "addicted" to them because they are fatty and your diet is normally low fat? just something to think about. for now don't stress over what is already done... most everyone has been in your situation before at least once! keep pluggin onward!

um no i dont think so. im usually really stressed when i eat those suckers, not craving fat. also, its more the chocolate tast and that its so "soft to chew" that makes me crave them..:P

I ate almost an entire cannister (like Costco sized) jar of mixed nuts one night while I was bartending... yeah it was interesting the next couple of days. lol. And I normally take in about 1150-1350 everyday. lol

nuts are tasty but so high fat and cal. :/ you got good fiber intake at least ;)

Instead of focussing on what was your worst binge ever, or your biggest cal intake ever, why not focus on getting better and join one of the BED recovery groups.

Calorie Count's mission is to promote healthy and sustainable weight management. Promotion of starvation diets or habits that exhibit signs of an eating disorder ("pro-ana", "pro-mia", etc.) is prohibited.

Discussion of your biggest binges is not helping anyone get better.

to be honest one of the ways I avoid doing this is actually by forcing myself to look at it... it sets the tone for guilt tripping myself into stopping before I eat too much... but if this offends you then we can stop.

Work had a meeting with indian food catering -.- yesterday im always under 2k cals usually

It also helps us to feel that just because we had one day where we did not stick to our 'diet' guidelines doesn't mean that we're complete failures, and we're not alone out there.

I haven't been counting calories for long, only for about a month now.  I had one day where I ate a lot of food, like 2,400 cals of healthy food.  I ended up eating an entire bag of baby carrots with an entire container of Athenos original hummus that day, and that wasn't all I devoured that day!  I don't really have much of a problem with what I eat, it is how much.  I'm small, too, (5'2", small frame), and a lot of people are shocked at how much I can pack into my stomach!  I'm happy to say that, since I started cc, I've dropped 9 lbs, down to 126.  My goal is 105, so I still have a ways to go, but at least I'm making progress!  I feel a lot better about the changes I'm making and feel that I have a much better chance of sticking with this program!

sugarcake,

you're description of the yummy chocolate balls sounds a lot like tootsie rolls to me (chocolate and chewy...mmmmmm....).  Maybe try those next time you get a hankering?  They won't hurt your calories and fat nearly as much.

This website is not about 1 upping our inappropriate eating patterns..... So, please, let's talk about  how to overcome bingeing, the effects of bingeing.... even what, why and how we overate plus what we did to resolve it, but please, let's not brag about our biggest/baddest binges...

I believe that there is a difference between overeating, pigging out for the fun of it during an event, holiday or just out of boredom versus bingeing out of control with respect to an eating disorder or emotional eating/over eating.  It is important to define and understand why we ate and overate.  Was it for appropriate reasons like a holiday, was it unthinking, and critically was it out of control or just a little more than we should have?

Here is a link to websites which can help you sort out those issues:

More importantly, I really hope you can talk to your parents, teacher or a guidance counselor about your concerns with your weight and eating habits so that you can get the help you need to nip your binging habits in the bud before they get out of control.

We hope you find the support, encouragement and friendships you need on this website to get over any binge-eating problems you might have noticed creeping up and to sustain a healthy weight!
