I am fifteen years old, short, and I weigh about 146 lbs. I am desperately in need of losing weights during the summer. What is the best way to lose weight?
Answer
Get 60 minutes of physical activity everyday, like walking, biking, swimming, or anything else that makes you move. Limit the time you spend watching TV, playing video games and using the computer because these activities are associated with being overweight. If you drink soda, energy drinks or juices, replace them with water, diet beverages and fat-free milk. Also eat 5-9 servings of fruit and vegetables everyday day because people who eat a lot of produce weigh less. For a great book about losing weight for teens, read Fletcher, A.M. (2008).
