One day, I weigh 133 lb and the next day, I weigh 136 lb, even though I eat the same number of calories everyday. How can I prevent it?
Answer
Minor day-to-day weight fluctuation is perfectly normal and should be expected. It is due to variations in sodium intake, mild dehydration, cyclic hormonal changes in women, and fecal matter retained in the colon. To minimize fluctuation keep a consistent sodium intake of 2300 mg or less per day, drink enough liquid to stay well hydrated, and eat a high fiber diet to aid in elimination. When you log your weight on your Calorie Count Account page, use the green trend line to evaluate change because that line smooths out variations.
